General assembly on June 10, 2017

Ikala STEM held its first general assembly on June 10th, 2017. The meeting, hosted at the Institute of Observatory and Geophysics - Antananarivo (IOGA), gathered about twenty young women in science.  Among the attendees were the local committee, permanent members and friends of the association, as well as general public who are interested in our activities.

Ikala STEM President, Francine Tarika, opened the assembly by inviting the attendees to introduce themselves and share how they learned about the association. She then followed with a presentation on the history and coming activities of Ikala STEM.

The types of membership within the association were highlighted by our Secretary, Seheno Corduant, and following a Q&A with the attendees, we are pleased to welcome the five new permanent members who joined the association after the general assembly.
