The second edition of Ikala STEM Annual Workshop, IAW18, took place on 28-30 September 2018. The workshop, themed on "Introduction to R and Statistical Analyses" , was lead by our team in Europe.
The team in Europe also organized the "Soft skills in STEM" workshops, which focused on Journal club and references on 7th and 8th of September, and on Scientific writing and poster on 26th and 27 September.
IAW18 attracted 201 applications. 128 applications were received for the Soft Skills in STEM workshops. The number of participants were restricted to 30 for each workshop due to limited resource. The trainings were given in English and went smoothly.
These events were realized thanks to cooperation and support from several departments of the University of Antananarivo and in partnership with the Institut et Observatoire de Géophysique d'Antananarivo (IOGA) and the Teaching and Research in Natural Sciences for Development in Africa (TReND in Africa).
