I have a background in plant biology and ecology and later on specialized in ecological agriculture. My research concerns the use of plants (mainly edible plant from forest as well as crops), their uses, their availability and the improvement of their potential use (domestication, cultivation and yield). My research area covers broader and interdisciplinary topics (Ethnobotany, plant ecology, agriculture and socioeconomic). For example, one topic analyzed the use of wild yams and the factors linked to their uses (diversity, traditional knowledge, socio-economic) and another topic was modelling maps of wild yam species and their availability linked to ecological factors. I am currently a PostDoc at the University of Göttingen (Germany) at the department of Animal Husbandry in the Tropics and Subtropic, and "analyzing the tendency of food consumption of people in the SAVA region  in Madagascar and the influence of vanilla boom",  in the Diversity Turn in Land Use Science Project
